A familiar face will be back in action at this week’s Southern Boone Classic as senior Colin Vaughan has his doctor’s release and will be back in action.

Vaughan, who suffered a knee injury during the Eagles’ first football scrimmage, saw a minute of action in the SoBoCo win over Eldon recently, but this week he hopes to make an impact and provide his team some help during the stretch run towards the district playoffs.
“I think I can get inside and bang with some of those big boys,” Vaughan said Monday. “I think I can come in and provide some help on defense and rebounding.”
Vaughan said it has been tough to watch football season and most of basketball season go by from the sidelines, but he is now ready to get back into the action.
