James (Jim) Perry Wilson,

age 76, of Ashland, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 28, 2022, at Rusk Rehabilitation Center, Columbia, Missouri. Jim was born on July 9, 1945, in Columbia, MO the son of James “JC” and Sara (Freeman) Wilson. He was married on June 25, 1983, to Sue (McGill) who survives of the home. He was a 1963 graduate of Jefferson City HS and earned his BS and MBA from Lincoln University. He was an active member, treasurer and trustee of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Jim was a state retiree and an entrepreneur. He enjoyed playing golf, softball, gardening and finding the best deals at auctions and garage sales. He did a lot of mowing at his home and church property. He owned ten corvettes during his lifetime starting with a 1965 maroon corvette convertible. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He loved his wife and girls and went out of his way to make them feel special and loved and often noted he was always outnumbered with girls, including the pets. He was the epitome of a loving husband and dad, never raising his voice and calmly working through any situation that came his way. He enjoyed helping anyone who had a need and went out of his way to research and find the best deals for everyone. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Stacy Kanagawa (David Robertson) of Nixa; Kimberly Wilson of Ashland; and Ashley (Tim) White of Ashland; his sister, Sandra Boillot of Jefferson City; four grandchildren – Lexie, Nora, Indy and Annie (Kouassi) and two great-grandchildren – Fahren and Maven. He was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws – Leroy and Virginia McGill of McGirk; and his nephew, Michael Boillot of Jefferson City. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. with a service to follow at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 5, at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, Hartsburg. Burial will be at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens, Jefferson City, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 21479 South Mt. Pleasant Road, Hartsburg, MO 65039
