Hartsburg Baseball Park Project Complete with Help from Veterans United Foundation

“Out With The Old, In With The New…Well, Kind Of”

As you may have heard, or seen, the Hartsburg ball field park recently got a major upgrade. The project was primarily funded by a donation of $43,285 from the Veterans United Foundation in Columbia, accompanied by significant investments of time from many of those in and around the Hartsburg community. Beginning in 2020, Brad Cunningham had the idea to upgrade the old ballfield park with equipment for kids of all ages. Cunningham soon partnered with VUF Foundation Team Lead Michelle Benke and Tim Hentz both of Hartsburg. Hentz coordinated with the Hartsburg American Legion Post 424, Sons of American Legion, American Legion Auxiliary, the Hartsburg Lions Club and the Hartsburg Town Board on the project. “Michelle was on board from moment one and really went to bat to help fund this project.
