Young Players Step Up in Scrimmage

Saturday’s Eagles football scrimmage was a big day for Sam Stichnote and several of the young Eagles players.
“We came out and competed,” said coach Trent Tracy of the Black team’s 2-1 TD win. “It was good to see them play hard.”
Stichnote, a sophomore, passed and caught several balls for the black team.
“It was good to see how Sam could go up and get a ball over the defenders,” Tracy said.
Starting quarterback Spencer Taggart hit Stichnote and tight end Colin Vaughan on passes and Jackson Sartain and Tanner Smith broke off runs for some big gains.
Tracy singled out the offensive linemen for having a good day as well. “Brett Price and Blake Wooden did a great job on the line today,” Tracy said.
