Last Tuesday, SBC soccer hosted the 8th ranked Class 1 team in the state, the Missouri Military Academy Colonels (10-3).

Despite MMA controlling possession and creating multiple shot opportunities in the first half, the Eagles jumped out to a one-goal lead on what might be their most impressive goal of the year. In the 12th minute, Drew Dial made a throw into the box from the right sideline.

Tim Lutz won the ball with a header at the near post and served the ball high to the back post, where Andrew Pridemore charged forward and headed the ball into the net.

The lead only lasted three minutes, however, as the Colonels got the equalizer after getting the ball behind the Eagles’ defense and converting an open shot.
