Both the JV and Varsity boys’ basketball teams came out with a victory when they traveled to Harrisburg on Thursday, Dec. 28th. The JV win came with more ease, while the Varsity fought to the last second.

The JV Eagles dominated their opponent the entire game, leading 18-2 at the end of first quarter, and 36-5 at halftime. The Harrisburg Bulldogs picked up their pace in the second half, scoring 22 points compared to the 5 points they scored in the first half, but it wasn’t enough to catch the Eagles. The JV overall played a more aggressive game, with a final victory of 55-27.

The Varsity teams were more evenly matched, with back-and-forth leads throughout the entire game. Harrisburg was up 17-15 at the end of the first quarter, followed by the Eagles leading 32-30 at the half. It was a battle to the very last second, with Jace Wren making a buzzer-beater shot which brought the final score to 62-61 Eagles.
