Last Tuesday, the Eagles hosted the Sunnydale Adventist Academy Spartans from Centralia (0-1) – a team that featured a roster full of international players. The fans on hand were treated to two closely contested matches by the Varsity and JV teams. The action began with 35 minutes of JV play. The majority of that game featured back-and-forth action, with both teams generating scoring chances. Jack Columbo, Jackson Woodward, and Tucker Salter all sent shots toward the Spartans’ goal, but none found the net. On the other end of the pitch, freshman goalkeeper Riley McGee recorded four saves to earn the shutout. The difference in the match came with just over six minutes remaining, when Titus Pridemore took a free kick at the top of the box and buried a shot in the top, right corner of the net that propelled his team to the 1-0 win.
