Lady Eagles’ Varsity Basketball Falls to Montgomery County

On Saturday, Jan. 6th, the varsity girls basketball team played in the 2nd annual Sophie Cunningham Classic at Columbia College where they were defeated by Montgomery County Wildcats 45-34. The three day event is put on by former MU men’s basketball coach Norm Stewart, and former women’s basketball players Sophie and Lindsey Cunningham to benefit the American Cancer Society, the National Association of Basketball Coaches, and Coaches vs. Cancer.
