Thursday, Sep. 12th was another beautiful day for a ride on the Katy. Trail was dusty but the green vegetation was a joy to see thinking of the cold weather coming and the fall colors. We rode from North Jeff. to Claysville. Those riding were Jim, Sharon, Donovan, Ginni, Bill1, Mark, Jane, Allan, Susan, Charlie and Rich.
Trail was in good shape with a few problems at the highway crossings. We took our break at the information board and enjoyed the peacefulness of the river. At Claysville, we enjoyed the comradery of biking stories and tall tales. Heading back we took a break at the bridge and picture time!!! At return to North Jefferson, we did our traditional Hoooo Haaaaa! We then proceeded to the Winery for lunch.
Our next ride is Thursday, Sep. 19th. We meet in Hartsburg parking lot at 9:30am, ride to Cedar Creek. Bring a dish and lunch at Alvynes Cabin – 7801 E. Lloyd Hudson Rd. Hartsburg.
