Roy H. Richardson, 81, of Hartsburg, Missouri passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Jefferson City.

Roy was born on September 18, 1939 to Rothie and Nathalie Nichols Richardson. He also had two sisters and one brother. On September 25, 1960 he married Joyce Faye Nichols in New Bloomfield and she preceded him in death. They had one son, Rick.

Roy grew up in the Wilton/Hartsburg area and remained there his whole life. He and his father ran a successful excavation business, which he continued the family business with his son. He ran a bulldozer most of his life and wouldn’t have had it any other way. It’s what he loved to do. He also enjoyed raising cattle. 

Roy was a genuine person with a big heart, a kind soul, and always spoke the honest word. He is so loved and will be greatly missed by many.

Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday October 28,  2020 at Robinson Funeral Home in Ashland with visitation one hour prior.

Survivors include, his son, Rick (Ambra)  Richardson of Hartsburg,  three grand-Children,  Rusty (Kacey) Richardson of Columbia, Haleigh Arnsmeyer and Julia Richardson both of Hartsburg, one great grandson, Ryan Columbia, one sister, Rometta (Ralph) Mertensmeyer of Hartsburg  and his mother-in-law Helen Nichols of Jefferson City and longtime friend, Bernadine Rice of Ashland.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rothie and Nathalie, one sister, Goldie Prewitt, one brother, Raymond Richardson, and one nephew Barry Prewitt.
