Elaine McDow

of Columbia passed away unexpectedly at Boone Hospital on March 22, 2022, she was 75 years old. Elaine was born September 28, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Joseph and Judy Potempa, Pindel. She married Joe McDow on July 20th, 1990 in Columbia and he survives. Elaine retired after many years from teaching her special students. She loved gardening, bird watching and fishing. Celebration of Life Services will be held on Sunday March 27, 2022 at the Stephens Lake Riechmann Indoor Pavilion from 3:00 to 5:00pm. She is also survived by her children, Jim (Angela) Lundquist, Jay Lundquist, Steve (Julie) McDow, Julie (Bob) Gladstone, Tammy (Mark) Laughlin; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her dog Chase.
