Charlie Nichols of Ashland passed away at his home February 25, 2021, he was 76 years old.  He was born November 30, 1944 in Cedar City , the son of Floyd Earl and Emma Juanita  Nichols.

He married Josefina Cruz Placido on May 31, 1965 in Pateros Rizal Philippines. and she preceded him in death.

He served in the United States Navy for four years before joining the Army National Guard where he retired as a Veteran.  He also worked for Prost Builders and the Columbia Police Dept Reserves. Charlie loved music, playing his guitars, being with family and friends. He went on the last Honor Flight in 2019.

Funeral Services will be held on March 02, 2021 at Robinson Funeral Home at 2:00pm with burial following in Liberty Cemetery.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.

Survivors include his children, Teresita (Joe) Heuer, Christy (Chris) Bowden and William (Heather) Nichols all of Ashland; Granchildren, Brandon, Lindsey,Danielle Bowden,  Megan (Devin) Craig Jessica (Josh) Proctor, Katelyn (Jon) Lueckenotte and Adyn Nichols; great grandchildren, Kamdyn, Delaney, Kinley, Chase, Hunter, Dawson, Kannon and Reece; his sisters, Delores Bunge, Beverly (Weldon) McDow, Ethel (John) Reeder, Sharon Kay (Ron) Baker.

 He was also preceded in death by one sister, Lovonia Reeder, brother-in-law, Robert Sapp, and nephews, Victor Sapp and Deryl (Jennifer) Reeder.

In lieu of flowers family request memorial contributions are suggested to New Liberty Cemetery in care of the family.
