The Southern Boone YMCA is giving area runners the opportunity to put on an extra layer of running gear to participate in their first Run Run Rudolph 5K run.
The race begins at the YMCA at 9 a.m. with packet pickup beginning at 8 a.m. Race fee is $30 and entrants can sign up online, or at the YMCA or on the morning of the run/walk.
YMCA director Kip Batye says the race is a part of that day’s fund raising effort for the YMCA’s outreach and Y-Club efforts. The YMCA’s programming includes providing financial assistance to those who cannot afford the fees.
