Prescription Take Back & Flu Shots

The next prescription drug take back event in Boone County is being held October 27th, 2018. Ashland will be collecting old prescription drug and other medications on Saturday, October 27th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Ashland Police Department, 109 E Broadway.

The Boone County Sheriff’s Department wants to remind everyone that needles should not be brought to the collection sites.

The Boone County Department of Health will be providing flu shots at Southern Boone Primary School on Thursday, Oct. 18. The injectable vaccine will be provided free to all SoBoCo students.

The vaccine is available to adults for $25. “Getting a flu vaccine every year is your best protection against the flu,” Director Stephanie Browning said.
