The SoBoCo Eagles won their second dual meet of the season on Thursday night at the SoBoCo Middle School, defeating MMA 45-30. The Eagles dropped their second match of the night to Father Tolton, falling 42-36.

It was a “pin-or-be-pinned” evening as the Eagles showed rapid improvement over their opening matches of the season, but still finding themselves in positions which, due to their inexperience, got them on their back.

Tyler Lutz won both of his matches for the Eagles, pinning his tough MMA opponent with 1-second left in the third period. It was a back-and-forth match which Lutz led 7-4 going into the final two minutes. Lutz drilled his Trailblazers opponent, getting the pin in dominating fashion in 1:19 of the first period.

Blake Schmidt at 132-lbs for the Eagles remained unbeaten with a 2nd period pin and a forfeit.
