Band Wins Honors at Contest

The Southern Boone Marching Eagles came away with a number of awards from Saturday’s contest at Wright City.  

Competing against 14 other schools, the band won in their division:

• First in parade marching;

• Fourth in color guard;

• Sixth in percussion;

• Third in field competition;

• Third in field captions.

The Eagles will host their own marching competition on Saturday, October 15 with bands competing in parade, field marching, percussion and color guard competitions. The competition will be held at the Southern Boone High School athletic field.
