The Eagles softball team lost some of its hitting power with graduation last May.
No matter, the Eagles can play small ball just as well.
SoBoCo used their speed and hitting to grind out an 8-5 win at Warsaw in Monday’s opener.
The Eagles game last night at Fatima was canceled due to rain. Warsaw actually took the lead on the Eagles early, however, SoBoCo scored three runs on an error, a sacrifice fly by pitcher Ashley Osborne.
SoBoCo added another two runs in the fourth. Dani Post scored on a sacrifice fly and Courtney Phillips scored Carrie Ponder on a base hit.
