SoBoCo golfer Brayden Watts at Eldon.

Watts followed that performance with a 5th place finish at the district meet on Monday to qualify for next Monday’s Sectional round. Watts was the only qualifier from the Eagles squad.

At Eldon, Watts had a 43 on the front nine, which might not have looked like a winning day. But Watts fired a 37 on the back nine to pull out the low score.

Watts was followed by Blair Oaks’ Jake Van Ronzelen with an 86 and Osage’s Jacob Krantz, who shot an 88.

Southern Boone finished in fifth place with a team score of 417. Other SoBoCo scores included: Grant Hopwood – 118, Cody Starke 100, Jacob Smith 122, Conner Gamble 119.
