The Southern Boone Eagles football team is 2-0 after a 48-18 victory over the Fulton Hornets Friday night in Ashland. Running back Tristin John lead the team with 179 total yards and five touchdowns. John gained 152 of those yards running the ball. Solid blocking is crucial for that kind of rushing production.
“I really wanted to challenge the O-line this week,” Eagles Head Coach Trent Tracy said after the game. “We’ve relied on the pass in the past and I really wanted to establish the run.”
A taut Eagles defense held the Hornets scoreless until a touchdown in the final minute of the first half.
