The Eagles cross country team competed in their first race of the season last week – a 3,500 meter run – at Salisbury.
SoBoCo’s Cassey Poole won the girls race in 15:23, showing the same form that won her a silver medal at last spring’s state track meet. Other girls’ results include: Koyia Prince 13th, 17:26.85 and Karsen Mauney 31st 21:58.97.

The Eagles boys team won third place, just behind California and Father Tolton. Individual results include: Isaac Smith 4th with 13:09.46; Blake Schmidt 11th, 13:55.37; Jess Newkirk 12th, 13:55.64; Josh Sampsell 19th 14:14.03; Will Spry 61st 18:22.46. The Eagles run next week at Vienna and Linn.
