The SoBoCo Eagles boys basketball team went to 2-0 on the young season by getting a good win on the road Tuesday night, defeating Moberly 65-55.

The Eagles took a slim 17-15 lead at the end of the first quarter, but wen on a 10-4 run to start the second quarter, making it 27-19 with 4:48 left in the half.

The Eagles shot the ball better against the Spartans than they did in their opener – a 3-point win over Harrisburg – and Spencer Taggart, Sam Stichnote and Maguire Scheer led the Eagles to a 55-38 lead after three periods.

The final eight minutes was a matter of SoBoCo maintaining their lead and coming home with the 10-point win.

The Eagles freshmen and JV also defeated Moberly, the junior varsity winning 57-44.
SoBoCo will be back in action on Friday as they travel to Linn to take on the Wildcats.

The Eagles girls team will travel to Versailles on Thursday with the JV tipping off at 6 p.m.

The Eagles girls will travel to St. Louis to face John Burroughs on Saturday.
