The Lady Eagles traveled to Osage National on September 26th to participate in the Tri-County Conference tournament. According to Coach Golightly “Osage National is a challenging course and I am incredibly proud of how all of the ladies played today.” Leading the group was Breckyn Shewmake carding a 98 and earning All-Conference honors. Other team scores included Courtney Hargis and Brylee Hendrix turning in scores of 110, Erissa Robertson a 111, and Alice Mauney a 118. The team took 3rd overall at the conference tournament, coming within three strokes of defeating Boonville. Osage took first overall and Hanna Maschhoff from Osage was the overall winner with a score of 70.
Districts took place on October 9th at Eldon Golf Club and the results were close. Earning All-district honors was Breckyn Shewmake carding a 101, followed by Erissa Robertson with a 106, Courtney Hargis with a 110, Alice Mauney with a 111 and Brylee Hendrix with a 118. Coach Golightly stated “the greens were very difficult to read and most of our strokes came from putts. This was reflected in the cutoff for attending state, which was ultimately 105.” On the team side Osage came out on top with a team score of 358 and Hallsville took the second spot with 427. Unfortunately, Southern Boone posted a team score of 428, missing the team cut by a single stroke. The overall district winner was Hanna Maschhoff from Osage, firing a 78.
