#23 Brady Dapkus ties school record for total rushing touchdowns in a
single game

Southern Boone Varsity brought the upset to the Eldon Mustangs Homecoming Game last Friday, Sep. 29th as RB Brady Dapkus and QB Austin Evans both matched school records. Dapkus tied the total rushing touchdown record when he ran his 5th touchdown, a record he now shares with Tristan John (2019) and Colby Phillips (2018).

Dapkus also scored a receiving touchdown which brought his total touchdown count to 6, and Evans also threw 6 touchdowns, which ties them both with Matt Curtis (2005) for the most total touchdowns in a single game.

The offense finished the night with 656 yards, bringing the final score to 75-49 and their record to 5-1. The varsity faces Hallsville at 7pm this Friday night for Homecoming.

On Monday, Sep. 25th, the JV were defeated by Father Tolton at home, with a final score of 14-21, bringing their record to 3-2.

On Thursday, Sep. 28th, the 7th and 8th grade teams improved their records as they defeated California at home. The final score of both games was 34-6, bringing the 7th grade record to 4-0 and the 8th grade record to 3-1. Both teams face Laura Speed Elliott with Saints Peter and Paul Middle School on Thursday, Oct. 5th at home.
