Eight Soccer Eagles Make All-District Team

  After concluding their season with a runner-up finish in the Class 2 District 4 tournament, eight Southern Boone soccer players earned all-district honors. First-team honorees include senior captain and midfielder Mason Ahern, who led the team this season with 16 goals and also chipped in six assists. Other senior first-teamers include goalkeeper Aidan Bukowsky (152 saves, 5 shutouts, 1 goal scored) and Cal Montgomery (6 goals scored, 6 assists, 29 saves, 1 shutout). Senior defender Reece Baker (1 goal, 3 assists) was named to the second team.

  Several underclassmen received all-district recognition, including sophomore forward Drew Dial (12 goals, 6 assists) who was named to the first team. Junior defender Hunter Wyatt and sophomore midfielder/forward Alejandro Pogoada (1 goal, 7 assists) were named to the second team. Junior midfielder Noah Ottinger (5 goals) received honorable mention recognition.
