The SoBoCo Eagles notched their 10th win Tuesday evening with a 4-0 victory over Mexico. Eagles goals were scored by Ian McCluskey, Sam Bonderer, Liam Clarke and Rajesh Bennett. Hugh Keene got the shutout in goal.
The Eagles will travel to Rolla this weekend to face a tough, physical tournament that will challenge the younger Eagles. SoBoCo returns home on Monday to face Canton in a 5 p.m. contest.
The Eagles softball team split a doubleheader with New Bloomfield, handing the Wildcats their first loss of the season.
New Bloomfield won the opener 4-0 and the Eagles took the nightcap by a 5-2 score. The Eagles will next play in this weekend’s Hickman Tournament.
The SoBoCo volleyball team lost at California on Tuesday night in straight games, 16-25, 20-25. It was the fifth loss in the Eagles’ last seven outings, however, coach Jaime Nelson said the Eagles played well against a tough Pintos team. Hannah Crow had six kills and eight digs, Katy Andrews had eight kills and Janae King had 16 assists.
The Eagles volleyball team will play at home Thursday against Linn – however, the game has been moved to the Middle School due to the lack of air conditioning in the high school gym.
