The SBC Soccer team completed its regular season last week with home matches on Monday and Tuesday. To begin the week, the Eagles went up against the formidable Sacred Heart Gremlins (18-4) from Sedalia, who are currently ranked the #9 Class 2 team in the state. It was senior night for the home team and all seven SBC seniors were in the starting line-up: James Brooks, Caleb Goodsell, Gabe Montgomery, Noah Ottinger, Andrew Pridemore, Tucker Salter, and Hunter Wyatt.

The first half of play was relatively even, with one big exception: Sacred Heart took advantage of their few scoring opportunities by putting shots on the Eagles’ goal and avoiding the goalkeeper. The Gremlins scored in the 12th, 24th, and 29th minutes to carry a 3-0 lead into halftime.
