But the Eldon team showed up in Ashland – only to find the lights off at the Eagles gym.

Eldon’s volleyball team piled back into their van. They drove back home for their “away” game. And there they defeated an Eagles team – who had been patiently awaiting their arrival.

“Their athletic director just got it wrong on the schedule,” said SoBoCo AD Pat Lacy. “They got the game in, we just wanted to win.” The Eagles lost in two straight games – 22-25 and 16-25. SoBoCo setter Janae King played, but was sick, which hurt the Eagles’ passing game.

Hannah Crow had eight kills and three digs and King had 10 assists. Sydney Jones had five digs.

“Our passing game was not great and we had eight serve-receive errors – which is the most we have had all season,” said Eagles coach Jaime Nelson.
