A COVID depleted Southern Boone football squad ended their season in a 26-12 loss to Centralia in Macon on Friday evening. The Eagles could field only 26 players due to contract tracing of COVID-19.

Senior wide receiver Blake Dapkus wasn’t able to capitalize on the night despite a strong first half.

The Eagles successfully attempted an onside kick to begin the second half but was held short in the red-zone.

The defensive battle in the second half saw the Panthers shutting down the Eagles to earn the win and advance to the next round of the Class 3, District 4 playoffs to face Blair Oaks.

The Eagles end this very odd season at 6-4.
