Opinion Letter

When did our country’s justice system start choosing political sides?
I think it started after George Floyd, an Afro-American, was killed by a Minnesota policeman. Three other officers were involved. This all started in May of 2020 during the BLM and ANTIFA riots. There was destruction of federal, state, and private property, by burning along with looting of business place. Historic monuments were destroyed or marked with obscene graffiti and dismantling them from their base. If not destroying them, then authorities would warehouse them. Billions of dollars up in smoke, over 19 were killed, and many maimed during those riots.
Members of those two organizations that I mentioned ran rough shod over local police and first responders. Those rioters, protestors as they called themselves, had one thing in common. Most were democrat voters. The January 6, 2021 Capitol riot paled in comparison to the 2020 summer riots. Several rioters were arrested and jailed for those summer riots but very few were publicly named.
In the Capitol riot, so far 1146 people have been charged with a variety of offenses. Many (623) have received sentences with these four that I will name because of the stiff sentences they received. Enrique Tarrio 22 years, Ethan Nordean 18 years, Joseph Biggs 17 years, and Zachary Rehl 15 years. Last but not least, a military 10 year veteran Miss Abbott unarmed was murdered by a Lt. Capitol policeman but was quickly swept under the rug by Nancy Pelosi.
All of those charges for DJT in the last three years plus in Biden Harris term was to keep him off the ballot but it hasn’t worked and now two assassination attempts hasn’t worked.
