Virginia Martin 1953-2017

Virginia Lea Martin of Ashland, passed away May 6, 2017 at Ashland Healthcare, she was 64 years old.

Ginny was born April 18, 1953 in Columbia, the daughter of John Frank and Bertha Beryl Harmon Martin. She worked for the University of Missouri at Jesse Hall as a cashier for 27 years. She loved to read, and taking ‘me and Jesus’ road trips. If you ask her how she was feeling, her answer was always the same “mean, ornery, crabby and Bitchey!”

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday May 10, 2017 at 11:00am at Robinson Funeral Home in Ashland. Burial will follow in New Salem Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday May 9th from 4:00 to 6:00pm at the funeral home.

Survivors include her sister, Mary G. (Colby) Halley of Atlanta; and several nieces and nephews.

Ginny was preceded in death by her parents: two brothers, David Martin and John Martin.

Memorial Contributions are suggested to New Salem Cemetery in care of the family.
