Sharon Donley 1937-2017

Sharon Ann Donley, age 80, of Ashland passed away June 26, 2017 at her home.

Sharon was born February 27, 1937 in Swansea, Illinois, the daughter of Orville Creal and Margaret Anne Keller Wilson.

She met the love of her life, Dale Wesley Donley, at church and they were married on May 25, 1957 in Belleville, Ill, and he survives. Sharon took off seventeen years to raise her children. She retired from Columbia Regional Hospital as an R.N. in 1990. Sharon attended Peace United Church of Christ in Hartsburg. She as active in the Friends of the Southern Boone County Library and the Ashland Optimist Club. She was an avid reader, and loved traveling with her family.

Funeral Services will be held at Robinson Funeral Home in Ashland on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in New Salem Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, June 30th at the funeral home.

Survivors also include, her children; Michael (Jean) Donley of Chesterfield and Cricket (Bruce) Hackmann of Ashland; two grandsons, Cody (Payton) Hackmann and Jake Hackmann; one brother, Kenneth O. (Carole) Wilson of Belleville, Ill.

Memorial Contributions are University of Missouri Stroke Research and Retinitis Pigmentosa Foundation for fighting blindness, in care of the family.
