Sharon Marie “Shari” Thilmony, a resident of Ashland, entered her sunset on June 22, 2024, at the age of 77 surrounded by her family.
She was born in Danzig, ND on September 2, 1946, a daughter of Leo and Marie Serr Brinkman. She was a 1964 graduate of Wishek Public Schools and attended Interstate Business College completing a certificate in bookkeeping. Shari married Lawrence “Larry” Thilmony on February 15, 1969. Sharon and Larry operated Larry’s Place in Felton, MN from 1976 to 1984. The family moved to Ashland in 1992 where Shari lovingly owned and operated Shari’s Daycare from the family home for 22 years. After retirement, she continued to provide daycare for her immediate family.
Shari was a member of the Family of Christ Lutheran Church in Ashland where she had served as church treasurer. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards and board games, puzzling, baking and most of all spending time with her family and friends.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Larry Thilmony; daughters, Dawn Marie Thilmony Diederich and son-in-law, Jerry and Tawnya Lee Thilmony Samuel and son-in-law, Mike; brothers, Russell Brinkman (Heidi) and Randall Brinkman (Sally); brother-in-law, Willie Morlock; sisters, Susan Johnson (Bill), Cindy Menholt (Richard) and Kathy Brinkman and grandchildren, Sydney and Peyton Diederich and Carly and Collin Samuel.
Shari was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Stanley Brinkman and sister, Patty Morlock.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, Saturday, June 29 at Family of Christ Lutheran Church, 408 S. Main St., Ashland, MO. A funeral service honoring Shari’s life will be held at 3:30 PM, Sunday, June 30 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2201 W. Rollins Rd., Columbia, MO with Pastors Elmer Schiefer and Brian Theime officiating. Shari will be at rest at New Liberty Cemetery in Ashland following the funeral.
