Larry Dean Nolte, 75, of Fulton passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2017, at his home.

         Larry Nolte 1942-2017

He was born on June 5, 1942 in Moville, Iowa, the son of the late Ervin Nolte and the late Ina (Rogers) Nolte.

On July 1, 1961, Larry was united in marriage to Luaine (Gaines) Nolte who survives his passing.

Larry graduated from New Bloomfield High School. He furthered his education at Westminster College and earned his Master’s Degree at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Larry retired from North Callaway School District in Williamsburg where he served as an elementary school principal. He was also the principal at elementary schools in Fulton and Brookfield. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church and served on the Danial Boone Regional Library Board of Directors. Larry’s hobbies included fishing, bird hunting, gardening, and woodworking. He was an avid reader. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Larry enjoyed watching his grandchildren in their athletic and musical events.

Those remaining to mourn his passing include his wife of 55 years; daughters, Ronnee Schweizer (Jay) of Blue Springs, and Edie Stark (David) of Columbia; sister, Nancy Dryden (Jerry) of Dayton, Oh.; grandchildren, Jacob (Regina) Schweizer, Luke, and Timothy Schweizer, Alex Anderson, Alec Stark, and Seth and Audrey Nolte, and many nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; son, Jeffrey L. Nolte; brothers, Roger and Gordon Nolte; and sister, Maxine Byrd.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 16, 2017 at Southside Baptist Church in Fulton with Pastor Guy Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton. Interment will be in Auxvasse cemetery.
