Larry Martin of Hartsburg, passed away June 26, 2022 at The Bluffs in Columbia, he was 72 years old. Larry was born  October 28, 1949 in Jefferson City, the son of Lawrence and Helen Jenkins Martin. Larry married Gwen Quinn on    October 30, 1971 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, and she survives.

Larry graduated from South Callaway High School. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.  He retired as a maintenance supervisor from the COLT Railroad, he also worked for MKT Railroad. He volunteered for Southern Boone County Fire Department, owned Martin & Sons Backhoe Service.  He loved Jesus, his family, farming and antique tractors and his welding projects. Larry was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.  He was a strong man who worked hard all his life.

Funeral Services will be held on June 29th, 2022 at 11:30am at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with burial following in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11:30 at the church.

Survivors also include his sons, Chad (Shelley) Martin of Ashland, Brett (Leslie) Martin of Ashland; his grandchildren, Christopher Dibben, Johnathon Martin, Maddie Martin and Lawson Martin; his brothers, Russell (Donna) Martin of Ashland, Steve (Janet) Martin of Shiloh, Illinois; his sisters, Deloris (George) Algiere of Columbia and Pamela (Troy) Kessinger of Denver Colorado; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant Church or SOBOCO Buddy Pack in care of the family.
