Frances was born June 12, 1931 in Boone County, MO to Norris W. McKinzie, Sr. and Mary (Johnson) Fite. She was a graduate of Hickman High School, class of 1949. She then met Thomas Dysart Fisher, Sr. and after a short courtship, they were united in marriage on June 25, 1950. From this beautiful marriage, 4 children were born: Donald W. Fisher, Thomas D. Fisher, Jr., Ellen J Fisher, and David N Fisher. Thomas preceded Jean in death, February of 1999 after 49 years of marriage.

In addition to being an amazing mom, Jean worked for years with Thomas in several businesses. She was an active member of Ashland Baptist Church, and she shared the love she was shown through Jesus and his life. She was also a member of the American Legion Post 152 Ladies Auxiliary, and had a great passion for sewing, making countless beautiful things for those she loved. Jean would work tirelessly on anything she was a part of, pouring in all of her talent and passion.

Jean was so full of love and had the most beautiful smile. She was the kind of person that never met a stranger and welcomed all. Her greatest joy was her family, her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren were the most precious to her.

In addition to her husband, Jean is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Rosa Lee (Pud) Dudley; and 2 granddaughters, Christine Leigh Fisher and Rebecca Ann Fisher.

Jean is survived by sisters, Joy Zima of Columbia and Billy Barnes of Overland Park, KS; brother, Norris McKinzie Jr.; children, Donald W. Fisher of Columbia, Thomas D.
