Alva Jane Garrett of Ashland, Missouri gained her angel wings on August 3, 2020 in Columbia, Missouri.
She was born on February 5, 1944, the daughter of Waldo and Goldie (Sapp) Crane in Boone County. She married Billy Glenn Garrett on June 24, 1960 and he survives.
She dedicated her life to being a wife, mom, grandma and memaw. She loved and cared for her family beyond measure, always with a smile and graciousness. That love was returned wholeheartedly. She enjoyed reading, watching St. Louis Cardinal baseball, and she loved old westerns, especially John Wayne movies. She excelled in all her hobbies, but her crocheting of beautiful doilies and gorgeous tablecloths always stood out.
Alva Jane is survived by her husband of 60 years Billy, of their home. One brother, Robert (Karen) Crane of Columbia. One daughter, Laura (Raymond) Bernard of Ashland, two sons, Glenn (Janie) Garrett, Brian Garrett (Leonardo Linares) of Columbia. She was extremely proud of her four grandchildren, Amanda (Jerrod) Bryan, Brooke (Dalton) Buck, both of Ashland, and Will (Katlyn) Garrett and Samantha Garrett, both of Columbia. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren, Macklin, Julien, Genevieve, Elodie, and Milo, whom she loved dearly.
She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Judy Martin.
