City maintenance crews have been out working on streets since early Spring, however, the summer work – with street overlays and improvements – will begin in earnest this month.

City Administrator Lyn Woolford said this past week that nine streets had been identified as priorities for the City improvements:

West Oaks, Johnson Street, Church Street, Tandy, Walnut, Redbud, Amanda, Eastside Drive and Industrial Drive will all see repair work done this summer.

The street work will amount to approximately $215,000 in repairs. The work is funded through the Ashland Transportation Tax fund.
