The Missouri State Fair begins its 10-day run on Thursday.

The Sedalia fair begins its run on Thursday, August 9 with a number of new free entertainment options.

Six nights of fireworks will be included at the state fair, immeidately following concerts on Aug. 9-10-11-15-17-18. Other free entertainment includes: Team Big Air – Extreme Basketball Show; The Everly Set – a tribute to the Everly Brothers; Kazual – A Capella group; Mike Walker – Impressionist; Michael Goudeau – Juggler; Mr. Stinky Feet – Kids Entertainer; Randy Kalin – Kids Magician.

Concerts at the Missouri State Fair will include the following lineup: • Thursday, Aug 9 – Montgomery Gentry & Whiskey Myers • Friday, Aug 10 – Rock of the Seventies: Foghat, Atlanta Rhythm Section, Firefall & Pat Travers Band • Saturday, Aug 11 – Hank Williams, Jr. & Frank Foster • Wednesday, Aug 15 – Southern Uprising Tour: A Southern Rock Revival – Travis Tritt, • The Charlie Daniels Band, The Marshall Tucker Band, and The Outlaws • Friday, Aug 17 – Aaron Watson & Tim Montana • Saturday, Aug 18 – Cole Swindell & RaeLynn.

Single day tickets to the state fair are $10, seniors $7, youth ages 6-12 are $2 and kids age 5-under are free. Sunday, Aug. 12 is Military Appreciation Day with free gate admission for active military and veterans with appropriate ID.
