Eclectic Corner owner Kasey Ryan has opened her doors at the corner of Broadway and Main Street.

Ryan opened the Eclectic Corner at the corner of Broadway and Main in Ashland on Pumpkin Festival weekend – knowing that she would get more traffic coming through town than normal.

Ryan said that word has spread quickly and she is getting to meet plenty of people from Southern Boone County.

“I want to have artists and furnishings here,” Ryan said of the new store. “I think we will be filling a niche.”

Ryan offers consignments for artists and artisans and a “gift shop environment.” She is coordinating with those artists to provide shoppers a speciality gift shop.

“I considered having booths, but I wanted to have something a little more specialized,” Ryan said, when asked about whether she would have booths in the store. As it is set up now, Ryan will not have booths, which opens the store up to a number of possibilities with an array of vintage furniture pieces.
