Fowler looks for SoBoCo support:
“Simply hard work and dedication,” says candidate Trevor Fowler about his campaign, “and what the citizens of the community are wanting from their county commission – that is getting some voters excited when they hear about my campaign.”
Fowler, a veteran of the Boone County Sheriff’s Department is making his first run for political office. Fowler says the county’s relationship with the City of Columbia affects Southern Boone voters more than they realize.
Parry cites experience, planning:
Columbia magazine publisher and Boone Hospital Board member Fred Parry is seeking the Boone County Commission, Southern District seat on the Republican ticket.
Parry is Chairman of the Boone Hospital Center board of trustees, past commissioner of the Columbia Housing Authority, an appointed position.
Parry cites his business background when canvassing for votes, but his active role in the Columbia community shows as he moves with ease from one group to another.
Candidates make finance reports:
Boone County Commmission candidates have made recent reports on campaign finance, but while getting donations for media buys is critical, some of the candidates are putting an emphasis on contacting candidates.
“Team Fowler was 20 strong tonight (going) door-to-door” candidate Trevor Fowler Tweeted on Monday evening.
Democratic candidate Ted Farnen said Tuesday that his campaign had momentum not just because of the amount of donations, but who those donations were coming from.
“Our positive message is getting out to voters in a variety of ways, and the response is good,” Farnen said.
Republican Fred Parry said he was getting a strong response from Southern Boone voters and broad support from throughout Boone County.
The Election:
The August 2 Primary Election voting will begin at 6 a.m. Polls will open in Southern Boone at: Rock Bridge Elementary, the Southern Boone Senior Center and the Ashland Optimist Club.
Polls will be open from 6 a.m. until 7 p..m.
