The parade coming down Broadway on Saturday is a part of the first annual Southern Boone Marching Band Classic.
SoBoCo will be hosting 13 schools in parade, drum line and color guard and field competitions.
The parade will begin at 9 a.m. Bands will march from the Broadway and Henry Clay intersection and march west to Main Street, then turn north towards the high school.
Southern Boone director of bands Andrew Marjamaa said the best place to watch the parade will be near the Ashland City Hall area on either side of Broadway.
The competition will then move inside the high school gym as three groups will compete in color guard and drum line competition at about 11 a.m.
The field competition will begin about noon. SoBoCo will play at about 2 p.m. Admission to hear and see the bands is $5.
Bands competing will include: Blair Oaks, North Callaway, Bunceton, Chamois, South Callaway, Centralia, Keyetsville, Centralia and others.
