Results for the Girls’ Districts are as follows: Josey Uhrig-3rd Place, Callie Bergthold-3rd Place, Noelle Schweitzer-2nd Place, Lilly Seward-1st Place, Addyson Pasley-2nd Place. The team finished with the 2nd Place Team Trophy for Class 1 District 4. With only eight players the Southern Boone Lady Eagles took part in the Southern Boone Classic basketball tournament last week. The Eagles had only three seniors, two juniors, one sophomore and two freshmen able to play due to COVID exposures, quarantines, and positive infected related cases. The Southern Boone basketball boys battled the Linn Wildcats on January 18, but was not able to bring home a win, losing 62-44. Seniors Blake Dapkus and Chase Schupp led the team in scoring with Dapkus dropping in 11 points and Schupp adding 13 points. Schupp and senior Trenton Roney both had one, 3-pointer each.
Lady Eagles proved they are not cat lovers downing the Versailles Tigers and the Hermann Bearcats in games last week.
