This was your typical first game of the high school football season: Missed assignments, missed tackles, missed field goals, untimely penalties, fumbles, interceptions, dropped passes, under thrown passes and momentum that shifted nearly every possession.

Add to that a 50-minute weather delay.
But the SoBoCo Eagles hung in there and found a way to win. Jackson Sartain raced 16-yards off of the right side for the winning touchdown with 3:14 left in the game for the Eagles and the SoBoCo defense stripped the North Callaway quarterback of the ball a minute later to preserve a 15-12 victory on Friday in Kingdom City.
It was a game that looked as though the Eagles would be hard-pressed to win as the T-Birds came out aggressively in the first half. While SoBoCo’s defense was flying to the ball, North Callaway’s Adam Reno constantly found holes in the Eagles defense and pushed the Eagles into their own territory twice in the first half before driving 46-yards on eight plays with Reno scoring from 16-yards out with 5:34 left in the half.
