Eagles volleyball coach Jaime Nelson knew that the middle of this season would be difficult.

And it is.

The Eagles competed in the Camdenton Tournament Saturday, then came back on Monday to play at Blair Oaks and traveled to California on Tuesday.

The result of difficult scheduling is only one win in the last four matches, leaving the Eagles at 6-5-1.

The Eagles fell at Blair Oaks by a 8-25, 18-25 score. The Falcons, Nelson said, are as good as advertised.

“They came out fast and scored 10 points with hard kills – we didn’t even get a hand on our blocks,” Nelson said. “We were late, our defense was not quick enough for them.”. Nelson said the second game was better for the Eagles, but Blair Oaks quickly put the game away.

At Camdenton, the Eagles were 1-1-1 – the tie being in pool play – and left Nelson thinking they should have had one more win.
