The Eagles volleyball team dropped its second match of the year on Monday, falling at Camdenton by 7-25, 18-25 scores.

“We came out slow in the first set – which I expected we would,” said Eagles coach Jaime Nelson. “It took us a littlbe bit to get going, but the score of the first game is not indicative of how we actually played. Halfway through the game, the girls caught up on (game) speed – we just couldn’t catch any breaks.”

Nelson said SoBoCo, playing on the road, came out strong in the second game. “We played right with them until we got a 17-16 lead – and then they closed us out pretty well,” Nelson said. “But I was very impressed with how we played in the second set.”

The loss moves the Eagles to 4-2 after defeating Centralia earlier in the week.
