The 8th grade Lady Eagles finished their season Monday, December 17th with a 25-7 victory over Columbia Catholic, the win set their season record at 9-4. Earlier in the season they took 3rd place in the Harrisburg Tournament. Majayla Dudley led the team in scoring, posting a season high 16 points in the team’s first matchup against Hallsville. Addison Lange accumulated the most rebounds on the year and took the most charges. “Charges are momentum-game changers and Addie was never afraid to sacrifice her body to take one. Everyone needs a hardnosed rebounder and defender on their team like Addie.” said Coach Gatson.

Front row: Kyra Massie, Julia Richardson, Ashlyne Ussery; Middle row: Mya Zagorac, Annika Farrar; Back row: Olivia Sones-manager, Hannah Fleming, MaJayla Dudley, Addison Lange, Lindie Pauley, Ashley Sjostrand, Maura Vanskike and Coach Kasey Gatson.

Julia Richardson and Kyra Massie led the team in assists. “Our starting guards (Richardson, Massie and Ashlyne Ussery), could handle the ball so well and were extremely unselfish. On any given night any one of them could go off for 6-10points and that depth made a huge difference throughout the season.”
