Southern Boone lost a heart breaker against #2 seed Blair Oaks in district play on Thursday. The Lady Eagles threatened but came up short 1-0 with the lone run coming in the bottom of the 6th from the Falcons.

“The girls did a nice job attacking the first pitch by having seven strike outs compared to 12 the week before,” Coach Ashley Anderson stated.

The Lady Eagles had six hits but couldn’t put them together to score a run. Freshman Addison Lange lead the charge with two hits while Riece Clevenger, Ashlyne Ussery, Landrie Cole, and Camryn Schaller each had a hit. Schaller had five strike outs and gave up five hits.

The girls were ready to play and hate that the season had to come to an early end,” Coach Anderson shared. “Thank you to Seniors Camryn Schaller, Landrie Cole and Jordy Loutzenhiser-Sapp for the last four years.

The Eagles had a solid season with a final record of 18-5.
