The SoBoCo Eagles softball team could not muster more than a pair of hits in any one inning and made a pair of errors which led to runs, falling at Hickman last Thursday by a 4-0 score.

It was the first game this season the Eagles had been shut out, but it was not necessarily the toughest pitcher the Eagles faced.

“They are a good hitting team,” SoBoCo coach Ashley Anderson said of the Kewpies. “They came out here and put runners on base and made us play the ball on defense.”

The Eagles gave up a pair of early runs on an overthrow and a pop fly that dropped between Eagles fielders. The Kewpies then scored a third run on a double steal. But the Eagles could not answer.
