Jahnsen takes baseball challenge

Southern Boone boys basketball coach Andy Jahnsen has accepted the post of head baseball coach for the Eagles.

Jahnsen, who was an assistant baseball coach for Eagles coach Jeff Dodson earlier in his career, will have Shannon Jeffrey and Jim Dapkus as his assistant coaches and Chris Gares and Dusty Weter will coach the ninth grade team.

Jahnsen has been the head boys golf coach during spring, a position he will give up for the baseball team.
