Win over Pintos puts Eagles at .500

The Eagles baseball team was attempting to get one game in this week – a matchup with the Hornets at Fulton was quickly scheduled for last night after the Fulton Tournament was scratched after heavy rains – and more expected heavy rain later in the week.

Coach Andy Jahnsen said he would work to keep the Eagles ready for two final regular season games next week – at Battle on Monday and at home against Hickman on Tuesday – and then ready for the district tournament at Sullivan beginning May 13.

Smith shuts out Pintos

The SoBoCo Eagles baseball team won its sixth Tri-County Conference on Tuesday with a 7-0 win at California on Tuesday.

Daniel Smith got the shutout win on the mound for the Eagles with a 9 strikeouts in the complete game performance.

The win lifted the Eagles to a .500 record for the first time this season at 9-9.
